Description
RTIP - Real-Time Interface Processor is used primarily to service multiple Remote Processors (RTNP’s, RTAP’s and RTMP’s ), which communicate with the Host (WGY Server) via Local Network (or a dial-up phone line) using the patent pendent technology Real Time Privacy Infrastructure (RTPI™) over TCP/IP.
RTIP uses any of a number of protocols including RS-485, RS-486, RS-232, TCP/IP, ModBus, LANworks, BACnet, parallel port, etc.
The distributed intelligent Remote Processors for Network Interface (RTIP’s) are based on microprocessor technology, and provides completely autonomous operation as a result of their inherent intelligence and stored operating data.
RTIP’s firmware is programmed in a high-level language for ease of maintenance and enhancement. All RTIP operational code is stored in non-volatile Flash memory while monitoring data and system parameters are stored in battery backed-up RAM. Each RTIP contains an on-board real-time, battery backed-up clock for communication control, event initiation, and date/time stamping of transactions.
The communication between the WGY Host and Remote Processors, through the RTIP is transparent.
The RTIP is capable of dialing up to four different telephone numbers in a pre-determined order. Communication parameters such as communication speed, parity, and stop bits, number of retries and interval between retries are configurable.
